Do you like making things with your hands? Are you creative or inventive? Would you like to make some gadgets like a torch or your own pinball machine or do some yarn bombing? At lunchtimes on Wednesdays the library will have Make it @ your library sessions. There will be different projects to do every week or every second week. It will be Years 4 and 5 who will be able to come to the library on Wednesday in Term 2 for these sessions but other years will also have a turn in Term 4. Our first session will be on Wednesday, 29 April for Years 4 and 5. It will start early, straight after eating time, at 12.40. To join in these sessions, sign up every week on the form below which also tells you what activity you will be participating in. We might not always be able to fit everyone in, so join early.
What is paint chip art?
Paint chips are samples you get from the hardware store when you are painting to see if you like the colour in your house. We will be using these chips and hole punches to create some great art!
Try some of the activities below.
You can make some amazing things from everyday objects you have at home. Click on the the link below, choose what sort of activity you would like to do in step one. Then select three building materials you have at home in step two and finally, click on spin and it will show you all the projects you can make with these materials as well as an outline of the steps to make them.
One of the activities we will do in a Make it @ the library session is origami. Click below to learn how to make an origami Yoda from the Origami Star Wars books we have in the library.
