Go home, cheeky animals! by Johanna Bell and Dion Beasley
At Canteen Creek where we live, there are cheeky dogs everywhere.
Canteen Creek is invaded with cheeky goats, donkeys, buffaloes and camels who make mischief in the camp. Each member of this extended family attempt to rid Canteen Creek of the cheeky animals but is only when they work together and with the help of the lazy dogs, that they are successful.
This is a funny story with some expressive pictures in pencil and paint. It is a story that celebrates family and home and shows a strong sense of place within indigenous communities.
